What is Mindset Coaching

Mindset coaching is about helping people shift from self-doubt, limiting beliefs and sometimes self-sabotaging mindset to a positive and growth-focused outlook on life. It’s like having a partner who guides you in changing negative thought patterns into positive ones. This coaching encourages you to face challenges, learn from failures, and become more adaptable.

In mindset coaching, you work together with a coach to recognize when you’re holding yourself back and learn to step out of your comfort zone. It’s not just about achieving goals; it’s about transforming how you see yourself and your abilities. By embracing mindset coaching, you can boost your confidence, handle challenges better, and develop a more resilient and optimistic approach to whatever life throws your way.

What to Expect

So, what results would you expect from working with me!?

I’ll take you through a completely individualised coaching program depending on what you want to focus on, and help you reach your goals. Depending on your focus area we’ll go through a number of activities and I’ll listen, guide, give advice where appropriate and ultimately you’ll walk away with a much better outlook on your mental state/career/relationships or other area. We can do one off coaching sessions, or a program of 2-3 months depending on your needs.

I will use my life experience and coaching training combined with elements of REBT (Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy) and other tools/techniques to support you in your journey.

Disclaimer: I am not a psychologist, so I can only use these techniques for coaching purposes to help with overcoming limiting beliefs and for you to reach personal goals. If you are suffering with a mental disorder, a registered psychologist will be required to help you.

Here are some steps we would normally go through together, timing and content will be unique for each client:

  1. Initial catchup to get to know each other, to hear about your background, your current situation, hopes and dreams
  2. Identify one or more problem areas. There are 13 common problem areas where certain thinking, underlying beliefs or behaviours can hold you back.
  3. Identify goals for individual coaching sessions and the whole coaching relationship
  4. Background information and teaching about the mind. We look at irrational vs. rational thinking, emotional disturbances and other relevant areas to your specific problem area.
  5. Going over what you can expect from me, and what I expect from you to get the best results possible
  6. Providing of accountability and support. I would check in on you between our coaching sessions, track progress, celebrate when you have breakthroughs and wins and always provide constructive and motivating feedback
